"I was happy after my exam, which went pretty well. After going through the answer key I was expecting a better rank. But I am happy that I got a rank under 200 which would get me good medical college in New Delhi," she said.
With AIR 200, the second spot was taken away by Vineet Gupta, a student of Subhash Public School. Gupta, who scored 88.7% marks in CBSE class XII examination, said that he was sure of a good performance in AIPMT. "I locked a seat in King George Medical University (KGMU) during state CPMT counselling. However, after securing this rank, I am hopeful to get a seat in University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), New Delhi or BHU, Varanasi. Getting this good rank is a dream come true," he said.
The third place in the city was bagged by Vikas Rajput (AIR-259), fourth place by Shivangi Sachan (AIR-312) while the fifth spot went to Ayushi Agrawal (AIR-412).
The May 3, 2015 AIPMT 2015 exam was cancelled following complaints of paper leak and the Supreme Court asked CBSE to conduct a re-test. The re-test was conducted on June 25 and as per the Apex Court's direction, the results were declared on Monday.
